During our time together, we will focus on essential early reading skills through hands-on activities, games, and guided practice in a small group setting. Our weekly focus will include:
Weeks 1–2: Recognizing short vowels and their sounds
Weeks 3–4: Recognizing consonants and their sounds
Week 5: Review of all consonants, vowels, and their sounds
Weeks 6–7: Learning to sound out CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words
Week 8: Review and informal assessment of consonants, vowels, and CVC words
